  • Can I start in the middle of the summer?
Yes. You can attend or skip any lessons you want. Our PGA Professionals teach each topic in a way that no one ever feels behind.

No previous experience is required. If you’ve never held a club (or even know its name), that’s okay! Adult Group Lessons work with very beginner to advanced golfers. Ladies Beginner Lessons focus on very beginner to intermediate golfers.
  • I’m the worst golfer in the world/I don’t know a thing about golf! Is this program for me?
Of course! Our Ladies Beginner and Adult Group Lessons are designed to make everyone feel comfortable and able to improve their game. Our PGA Instructors have worked with many “very beginner” golfers and will help you no matter what stage your game is at.
  • Do I need my own clubs?
Bring any clubs you would like to use, otherwise we can provide rental clubs for the lesson. We recommend getting your own set after a couple lessons for best results. Call the Pro Shop to set-up a fitting.

LPGA Girls’ Golf (Tuesdays)
    •
    • Can my girl participate in both sessions?
Yes! We would love to have as many girls as possible participating in our great program. There are different registration deadlines for each session, so you don’t have to decide right away.
    • What are the age requirements?
According to the Fargo Park District, all children must be 4 years old to be on the practice facilities at Osgood. Girls should be 5-18 years old to participate in LPGA Girls Golf. If your girl turns 5 in the summer, can be away from you for 50 minutes, and can handle a group setting, we will make an exception to let her register in the program at 4 years old.
    • Who are the instructors?
We maintain an all-female instruction team, trained by our PGA Professionals. Our instructors will encourage a fun and comfortable atmosphere for the girls while learning the important basics of golf.
    • What will the girls learn?
Our LPGA Girls Golf program covers important golf fundamentals, basic etiquette, and how to have fun in a comfortable golf atmosphere.
    • Can my girl be in the same group as her friends?
LPGA Girls Golf focuses on making golf a comfortable atmosphere for young girls. We honor all group requests to the best of our abilities. Requests can be made on the LPGA Girls Golf registration packet.
    • Can I watch?
    • Many parents enjoy watching their girls have a great time in a great sport. We encourage you to watch from a distance, however it is important you do not interact, intervene, or assist during the lesson time. Our instructors are trained to maintain a strong group dynamic, void of adult pressures. If your girl cannot be away from you for 50 minutes or work well in a group setting, then we recommend private lessons from one of our PGA Professionals before starting group lessons.
  • I have boys, can they participate?
      • Our LPGA Girls Golf program is for girls only. We have many other options for boys (and girls) to participate in – visit our

    lessons

page and click on the “Junior” tab to view all lesson opportunities.
  • What if my girl doesn’t have clubs?
      • We offer junior clubs for rent for $5 per set. For best results, it is highly recommended you purchase a set for your girl after a couple lessons.

    Contact us

      for pricing and options.
  • Can my girls share clubs?
It is a strain on the instructors and the juniors to keep track of clubs when multiple juniors use the same set. Osgood offers junior rental sets for $5 per lesson.
  • What if my girl loses one of his/her own clubs?
      •  Our instructors work hard to help juniors keep track of their clubs, but keep in mind our programs house hundreds of junior golfers. We highly recommend labeling every club and the bag with your name and phone number. If you lose a club, please call the pro shop immediately at (701) 356-3070 and we can check the lost and found. Osgood is not responsible for any lost or stolen clubs.

  • Can I use the same punch card for multiple juniors?
You can use the punch card however you like, and it can be transferred for another junior’s use. Cousins, siblings, and friends can all use the same punch card with the purchaser’s consent.
  • What if I lose my punch card? Does it ever expire?

    Contact us

      for pricing and options.
  • Can my juniors share clubs?
Unless there is no other option, juniors cannot share clubs. It is a strain on the instructors and the junior to keep track of clubs when multiple juniors use the same set. You can rent a set for your junior at an affordable price.
  • What if my junior loses one of his/her own clubs?
Osgood is not responsible for any lost or stolen clubs. Our instructors work hard to help juniors keep track of their clubs, but keep in mind our programs house hundreds of junior golfers. We highly recommend labeling every club and the bag with your name and phone number. If you lose a club, please call the pro shop immediately at (701) 356-3070 and we can check the lost and found.
  • Can my two juniors participate at the same time even though they are in separate age groups?
Yes they can – the age groups are suggestions, not defined rules. However, we suggest juniors attend the appropriate session. We have age-specific activities for each session and don’t want your junior to feel bored or overly challenged.
  • Can I watch?
      • We allow spectators at our lessons from a distance. For best results and cooperation from our juniors, spectators cannot interact, intervene, or assist with lessons. Our instructors are trained to handle all age groups in a golf environment. If your junior struggles to focus in the group without parental involvement, we recommend

    private lessons

with one of our PGA Professionals.
